Pia Engström Agesen

Pia Engström Agesen is educated from the Academy of Fine Art in Aarhus, Denmark. Her ceramic work is oriented around nature, the natural element of the clay itself and organic forms. The interest of texture of the clay often only with a bit of slip on it, allows the clay to be center of attention. Also being fond of the Japanese Shino glaze in her exploration of aesthetics around clay and glaze in interaction with each other, she is seeking authenticity, simplicity and imperfection in her pieces.
